The Association
ACA (Association of Craftspeople of Córdoba, from the Spanish acronym) was founded in 1986. It is currently composed of fourteen studios that work with materials and items such as pottery, leather, costume jewelry, paper mache, mosaics, batiks, glass, etc. In 1987, ACA established its head office at the Córdoba Municipal Bazaar, a very beautiful place that, thanks to the work of the craftspeople, has become a leading figure in our city’s cultural tourism. ACA is a founding member of the OAE (Organisation of Spanish Craftspeople) and the FADA (Federation of Andalusian Craftspeople). ACA is a non-profit, professional organisation whose goals are to:
- Represent, defend and promote the economic, social, professional and cultural interests of its members.
- Encourage solidarity among the craftspeople who join, promoting and creating common assistance services.
- Plan the actions necessary to achieve social and economic improvements for its members.
- Organise ongoing training and cultural education for its members.
- Manage the relationship with the relevant bodies in order to best develop the interests of the Handicrafts Industry.
